Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 1, 2026 · KnowDrive.ai is a product of Recourse Software Inc.
1. Who we are
Recourse Software Inc. ("Recourse", "we"), a corporation of the Province of Ontario, Canada, operates the KnowDrive service at KnowDrive.ai. KnowDrive, KnowDB, and RecourseLLM are properties of Recourse Software Inc. Our privacy officer can be reached at hello@knowdrive.ai.
2. What we collect
- Account data. Your email address and profile details you provide.
- Billing data. Handled by Stripe, our payment processor — your card number is entered into Stripe's secure fields and never reaches our servers. We hold only Stripe's references (customer id, payment-method fingerprint, invoice history).
- Customer content. The files you ingest and the atoms minted from them, stored in your isolated vector stores.
- Usage data. Metering counts (atoms, storage, searches) needed for billing and the usage dashboard, plus operational logs retained for a limited period for security and operations.
3. How we use it
To operate the Service, meter and bill usage, provide support, secure the platform, and meet legal obligations. We do not use your content to train models. We send marketing communications only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.
4. Where your data lives
Customer content is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure in Canada (Toronto region).
5. Processors we share with
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Google Cloud — hosting and storage.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
We do not sell personal information.
6. Retention, export & deletion
Your atoms, payloads, vectors, and provenance are exportable through the API at any time. On account closure, content remains exportable for 30 days and is then deleted in the ordinary course; residual backup copies expire on a rolling schedule. You may request deletion at any time via the contact below.
7. Your rights
Under Canada's PIPEDA you may request access to and correction of your personal information, and withdraw consent subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Where the GDPR applies to you, you additionally have the rights of erasure, portability, restriction, and objection; contact us to exercise any of these.
8. Cookies
We use an essential session cookie (auth_token) to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising trackers.
9. Changes to this policy
Updates are posted on this page with a revised effective date; material changes are also announced by email or by notice on the service website.
